Best I have had in a long time.
Food is consistently good. Great Value and cooked to order. Quick-service
The best General Tsao's chicken I've ever had. Superb food. And great service
Ming's is excellent. I really like their lunch menu. I like the Mandarin Chicken and the Chicken with Vegetables. Also, the Crab Rangoon appetizer is great. Very nice place, very clean, great food and service.
Great food and service
The sesame chicken is literally just that. Sesame seeds on chicken. No sauce. No seasonings. No flavor. It was so gross. I will say that the restaurant is clean and the staff are very nice! I've got nothing against them. I just won't go back and order sesame chicken. Also, the crab Rangoons are made with both real AND imitation crab. It says on the menu they only use the best ingredients... imitation crab is a "best ingredient"? GROSS.
Awesome atmosphere and really good food. Our server was on the ball even though the place was super busy on a Saturday night. Entre was well prepared and tasted great. I will definitely be going back here soon.
Great Chinese food in Lakeview. Good location with plenty of free parking. Lots of space and a nice bar. Excellent food and service. Will go back.
Love the food very fresh reasonable prices great waitress will go back
Greater pub than restaurant, but the food was good. I'm willing to give it a second shot.
Best Chinese in the city!
The lunch selection is great for a business lunch or a quick lunch with friends. Love the atmosphere and location. The also utilize a regional delivery service, Waitr, so you can enjoy at home. Their egg rolls and wonton soup are delicious. My favorite lunch item is their Mandarin chicken.
Love Ming's especially the egg rolls
I love Ming's. I go for dinner and for lunch. Affordable delicious Chinese food. Police "thin blue line" flag out front. Hard to beat that. They have several specials that run most of the year. I recommend trying one of those out, but the standard dishes are there too and I find them to be better than the other places.
This is my favorite 'American' Chinese in New Orleans. Ming's is able to provide all of the classic staples with FRESH ingredients, General Tso’s, Kung Pao, Sweet and sour, lo mein, chow mein, etc. The crab Rangoons are STUFFED and cheesy. The service is incredibly fast, even on busy take out nights. I have not waited more than 25 minutes for a take-out order, and you can call in ahead of time. Dining in is the same experience, except you get to experience the food right out of the wok. The prices are a little bit higher than most Chinese restaurants around, but you are paying for much higher quality food.
Basic chinese food. Nothing special but not bad either.
Dinner was very good. The only flaw was that the shrimp fried rice was a bit dry as if it had been sitting for a while. Service was very good.
Ming's is one of the better Chinese restaurants in the city. They use high quality ingredients and cuts of meat in their dishes and has the best hot and sour soup I've had so far. I appreciate that they use good pieces of white meat for the chicken dishes and not what some people call "plastic pieces". I normal dish would be their garlic chicken and while it is very tasty, its not as spicy (heat) as I am used to so I just ask them to add a pepper when I order it and it comes out great.
I have been hearing about this place for a while. Recently I finally made it in. I was not disappointed! I had the Shrimp Lo Mein, Garlic Chicken, and Veggie Spring Rolls. Wow! This is some of the best Chinese food in New Orleans. Service was friendly and quick as well!Priced just right, and portions are large!
Easily by far THE BEST CHINESE FOOD IN NEW ORLEANS! We took some friends from Houston and theh were amazed...hell, We were amazed and we've been there a few times. Everytime we go we cannot believe how good this place is. The eggrolls for example are like nowhere else. Big fatties stuffed with goodness. FRESH goodness. The boneless pork, is a loin sliced with a perfect carmelized sweet red coating..fresh......UNREAL! so tender and delicious! Got the mandarin chicken last night and it was way beyond my expectations. the sauce is house made, not just some own gravy that's sub par....the chicken was fresh and had a perfect light golden brown batter cooked to perfection. Go, that is all!
One of the better Chinese places in town.
Staff, owners are very attentive. Food is fresh and flavorful. Prices are great. Recommended highly. Never had a bad experience.
The Mapo Tofu is not traditionally Chinese. It has been Americanized by including other ingredients that a regular Mapo Tofu doesn't have. An ingredient is would be bell pepper. The dish also did not have a spicy nor a numbing feeling that it supposed to have. I did order this dish with the request of making it extra spicy but was not spicy in the least bit. In the description of the restaurant, it said that it servers "traditional Chinese Speciality". In generally the atmosphere of the restaurant is very calm but the dish I was interested in the most by the restaurant did not deliver.
This is a nicely decorated Chinese restaurant with amazingly delicious food! I had the Walnut Honey Chicken dinner and it was so good we had to go back during our vacation in the New Orleans area. Considering there are lots of good places to eat there, that says a lot!
Good clean food. Great 4 lunch or dinner.
Very good food and service. Comfortable environment.
I have never seen a place that looks less like a Chinese restaurant than this place. Once inside I got the vibe of a place that is directly in between a high end restaurant and a take out joint. I did like the wide menu selections. I suggest you go full on Chinese style and start with soup and a veggie dish. The baby Bok Choy was excellent. Despite the mix signal I got on the decor I will say overall my meal was very good.
Their lunch is quick and delicious. Super yummy!
Go to for Chinese food. Cannot get better.
Good food, but there, The To Go Orders, the Sweet & Hot Mustard containers are only filled 1/4 of the way in each container. Don't have enough SAUCE for the dinners I ordered!!😞😞😞
Had a great meal and good service for the Covid times are in!!
Chicken moist. Great lunch prices
Best American Chinese I've ever had.
Consistently well cooked and served food at a fair price in a welcoming atmosphere, where locals outnumber visitors and nobody puts on airs or gets pretentious...
The food was very fresh. Tge meat was very tender, bothe the beef and the chicken. The crab ragoon was amazing! The crab ragoon had alot of filling
Great Food. Fresh, Healthy and Tasty
Sorry. Not my favourite Chinese restaurant. Egg soup was greasy.
Food is always very hot and goodm
I heard that this was a good place to come if you have a gluten allergy or celiac disease...it is not though. My Nima gluten sensor unfortunately found gluten in the Kung Pao Chicken, which was supposed to be prepared with no cross contamination with gluten for celiac disease.
Awesome little gem. So good they were packed, worth the wait.
Delicious food good atmosphere and friendly staff. Will definitely be going back
Great Chinese daily lunch specials and an attentive wait staff.
Ordered lunch to go for my Mom. Telephone order was easy and the individual taking my order alerted me to "lunch combination specials" that would reduce my overall bill. I ordered Vegetable Spring Rolls, Egg rolls, Combo Sweet and Sour Pork and a Bok Choy with Mushrooms. My order was ready for pick-up, 20 minutes after phoning it in. Thought I had a 20 minute drive to my destination, everything was hot when I arrived. The Sweet and Sour Pork was packaged separate from the sauce so the pork would not become soggy. That combo also came with a portion of fried rice and an egg roll. A delicious take-out.
I have been there and loved the food. Very clean, atmosphere friendly.
Just Good Food And Nice Place
Nosiy and crowded. Somewhat high for ok Chinese food. Honey shrimp I recommend. They use MSG.
This is not your typical run of the mill Chinese restaurants. Staff was great and the crab ragoons we had were out of this world. My only dislike was the brown sauce that came with the Mandarin Duck. It was way overpowered by the taste of celery. Ended up eating the rest of the duck with hot mustard (which has a hint of sweetness to it) and the sweet and sour sauce. My wife had the Triple Treasure and she loved it. The light sauce that came on it was fantastic. More off than the 2 of us could eat. We both brought food home. Wife and I will defiantly be going back to try more menu items.
For was good but I was not happy with the waitress was asking for a tip
My husband and I were once regulars to this restaurant until recently. We live close enough to where we mostly called in the food and ate at home. We wanted to get out this time, so we decided to step in and grab a bite. We had to cancel the order I was so uncomfortable with being there. They seated us at a table quickly, but the table they sat us at was against a wall that was dirty. Between the dust on the border and the splash back of soda/tea/soy sauce (whatever it was) looks like it had been sitting there for awhile. Then I get the water I ask for it tastes like mildew! If they can’t keep their eating space clean enough, I don’t want to imagine what it looks like in the back. Good food, but never eating there again.
